Hi, my name is Racheal Martin

I am a proud Independent candidate for
MO HOUSE of Representatives for District 127.

My passion is for Rural MO. Rural Folks are built different.
We are resilient, resourceful, and we take care of our families and communities.

In District 127—We are rich in Agriculture and a slower pace of living that the rest of the world could learn from.

We value the power of the word and a handshake.
We abide by the simple phrase:
Do What you Say, Say what you Do—-and it really is that simple.

We are Rural Strong and we need a voice at the state that will not let Rural be left behind in the midst of great political turmoil and the changing policy and party landscape.

Please take a moment to learn about my approach, my life experience, and some of the emerging issues I think we need to address in the coming years. The conversation is just getting started.

When I am not campaigning, running my business, coordinating for the Barton County Community Foundation, or serving in local groups—you can find me hiking and kayaking with my family and friends, cooking organic and from scratch, as much as possible, and tending to my pets, kids, home, and garden.

My Approach

Collaborative

I believe in the power of collaboration to create exceptional public policy. As your representative, I seek to immerse myself in the vision and goals of my constituents and work closely with my community, of all walks of life, to make that vision a reality.

I believe the work of the representative should not only reflect the values and strengths of our district, but also to set the standard on improving the quality of life in the area, and what it truly means to be a representative in modern day state policy making.

Facts and Data Driven

I believe in checks and balances. I believe in a studied approach. I think when we take a peer-reviewed, data-based approach, we can measure our starting points, our efforts and ultimately ensure the final result aligns with the vision we set forth. We are the SHOW ME STATE after all.

Our data collection in MO is important and it reflects the unique strengths and challenges in District 127 and Missouri as a whole, since 1821. Good data. from our Census to our annual reports from various state departments, takes a while to gather and report, and then to study and research, so we are usually years behind what is happening in real time.
These reports guide us to direct our efforts in bridging the gaps in Rural Missouri and help us measure our failures and successes. We should always consider the data for our state on any given proposal brought forth by legislators and let that have a larger effect in our decisions and votes moving forward.

When our State Auditor says we will have to make budget cuts next year or we won’t balance; it doesn’t seem like the right time to cut 64% of our state working budget by phasing out the income tax with NO plan in place.
To make it a rush vote to the voters in the primary, where voter turnout is known to be significantly lower, seems irresponsible.
This is a great example of a conversation that needs more facts, data, and research.

Missourians deserve to see the plan and facts before agreeing to anything.

People Forward

My work is in the people business and that has always been the case for me. I have known from a young age that life is all about relationships and have always chosen careers in customer service.
I am mom and wife in a large blended family and I know that people are our best investment!
Especially our children!

I deeply value the lived experience of each person I encounter and
I love to hear what people have to say, what questions they have to ask, what brings them not only, joy and passion, but also sorrow and pain.

We are surrounded by many people of excellence in District 127; Educators, business and municipal leaders, farmers, soldiers, mothers, fathers, veterans, healthcare professionals, civic leaders, and more!

We are surrounded by many “vehicles” to help us get where we are going and when we work together, we will get there. In my time of working in rural philanthropy, I have come to love the phrase
“if you want to go fast, go alone—if you want to go far, go together!” That couldn’t be more true for Rural Missouri in these times.

It is my intention to highlight our Rural Strength and learn together, as we navigate the direction of our Rural communities and families with our freedoms and values intact.

Over 23 years of Quality Customer Service

Racheal has a strong work ethic and started working when she was 15 years old. She is a driven leader, multi-tasker, and caregiver with the simple hope to make this area better than she found it and with more focus put on supporting people and policies for longterm success!

She has proven skills in
Raising and managing a large blended family while also gaining experience in:
Industrial and Small Business Janitorial Service and Operations,
Non-Profit Operations, Grant Making Support, and Community Coordinating for lasting, positive change.
Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Real Estate Sales, Marketing,
Banking and Financial Services, Operations, and Sales,
New Build Construction Operations and Employee Management.

Racheal is the current owner/operator at Clean Solutions MO, a commercial cleaning company, and is the coordinator to the Barton County Community Foundation.

Racheal and her family, like many families in Missouri, understand how important quality customer service is when we are managing our day to day responsibilies.

When it counts, you want a representative that you can trust to hear you, value you, support you, and fight for you to recieve the upmost care and attention to your needs.
14 years Community Service and Volunteerism

Giving Back is a core value of Racheal’s and if you ask her, it’s the magic of building community. Something transformative happens around us when we give back and invest in the places we live, work, and play to make it better for years to come.
Some of the best connections are made in volunteerism and Racheal encourages everyone to find a way to give back as often as possible and to get the whole family involved when you can!

Racheal, along side her husband, Rusty, have raised a large blended family in Barton County—four college aged young adults and one still at home and in high school.

She has worked with the teachers and administrators on IEP’s and advanced classes for her kids since grade school and has navigated the alternative and special education options available at our rural public schools, as well as what is available through regional services that are still not regularly accessible or even always known about in the area.

Another reason this makes her the best candidate to advocate for the many varied issues that are affecting children, adults, and families across the board in Missouri, in education and other facets of public policy. Especially children with disabilities.

For many years, our schools have been the backbone of the community and the safety net and support for so many. They continue to be the first place for children and families to collaborate for the success of children.
When parents, educators, coaches, and healthcare providers work together, families can thrive, and as families thrive, the students thrive.

Racheal is familiar with the deficits many families are facing in Rural MO, as they are having to make decisions daily that affect their quality of life with often not enough tools, support, and opportunities locally.
Navigating finding support for adoption, guardianship, kinship care and foster care can be even fewer and far between in our rural counties.

Children, adults, and families deserve dignity and the right tools to succeed. Families come in all shapes and sizes in 2026, and those families all deserve representation and support.
Racheal values having grown up in Rural SWMO and having raised a family in the slow rural Missouri way. She hopes to have a seat at the table that works to invest in and protect children at all stages of their life into adulthood.
